"I say I wanna give You glory Lord, and I do
But everything that I could ever find to offer comes from You
But if my darkness can praise Your light
You give me breath, and I'll give my life to sing Your praise" ~ Rich Mullins

Daily FB statuses

My friend De'Etta is a dedicated blogger who blogs to keep her family, which is spread around the globe, connected. But Facebook has also become a great way to communicate. Unfortunately, Facebook is not a great way to preserve memories and not everyone is on it. And we tend to spend so much time it cuts into blogging. (As you can see my blog has suffered greatly since becoming so active on FB. Fortunately, she is a better blogger than!) Anyway, she came up with a brilliant idea. She opens up a new blog post each day and posts what she would have posted as FB status updates through out the day in her post. Then at the end of the day, she chooses what she really wants to share on FB and the rest is left as a daily log of her thoughts of the day in her permanent family journal. I have decided to follow her example. It will give me an outlet to share what pops in my head, without cluttering up people's news feeds all day, plus keep this blog a little more active. :-)

So, today......
*I'm surrounded by sick people! And I thought hanging out in doctor's waiting rooms was bad! Nope all the sick people are in my house!
*
The first of our Expo shipments arrived yesterday. Spanish workbooks! It's always so fun to get new books.
*I LOVE the email function at Compassion International! I especially love that they have added the ability to add pictures! This makes it so easy to write to our sponsored child! We will still send snail mail letters occasionally, because we love to send him gifts, but this new feature is wonderful!!
*Jessica's laptop is not booting up. This is NOT a good thing! (
phew! John got it working before she knew there was a problem. Meltdown avoided! And, despite being quite sick when handed this computer problem, John handled it wtih no stress as well. Thank you God!)
*If you don't believe God is patient, just re-read the story of Gideon! (Alex has Judges playing in the background. Finishing up her Bible study for Awana this year.)
*Alex and I finished editing our Gunnopoly game. Will print tonight.
*Blood counts about the same. Platelets little lower. (Details will be on Caringbridge)
*Watching Benny and Joon with Alex.
*Said goodbye to my old Kindle today. Returned it to Amazon. The new one they sent to replace it seems to be working well so far.
